Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry © 2020
We are happy to announce that, starting the week of May 11th, we will begin treating a limited number of patients in both offices in an effort to resume normal operations, in accordance with new guidelines issued by the American Dental Association.
At this time, appointments will be limited and scheduled to adhere to social distancing practices as well as new safety guidelines to limit the risk of exposure.
Our primary focus will be patient, staff, and provider safety and will require the following changes to be made:
All currently scheduled appointments have been canceled. A staff member will be in touch with you to set up an appointment for a new date and time that works for your schedule as well as within the compliance standards for social distancing within our office.
All patient’s will be pre-screened electronically as well as be asked screening questions and have their temperatures taken before their appointment. We ask that you remain in your vehicle until your child’s appointment time and either text when you arrive or allow only one person to accompany the child into the office.
Only one parent/guardian is allowed to accompany the patient into clinical areas. Additional adults and/or siblings are no longer permitted in clinical areas in order to reduce risk of contamination and exposure in sterile areas.
We do not require that parents/guardian’s who are accompanying a patient to a visit to wear a mask or gloves HOWEVER if you chose to for your own safety – please bring your own into the office as we will not have additional supplies available. Personal Protective Equipment is in very high demand and limited supplies are available. In order for our staff and providers to work safely and efficiently on a consistent basis we need to reserve all supplies for patient care. (Sufficient protective wear you can bring from home may include: face masks, scarf, bandannas, surgical gloves, rubber/latex gloves).
We ask for your continued patience as we resume business. Please keep in mind that during the COVID-19 crisis more than 5,000 appointments were missed between our two locations so it will take us some time to contact everyone and reschedule appointments. Our staff will be working diligently on contacting everyone and will be making hundreds of phone calls a day. If you have a question, concern, or would simply like to submit your child’s name for a rescheduled appointment date please email us to help reduce the number of incoming calls and tying up phone lines. All emails will be responded to daily and are private, secure and HIPAA compliant.
