Our Doctors are Pediatric Dental Specialists
They specialize in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training, experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist is uniquely qualified to treat the dental needs of infants, children, adolescents, teens as well as those with special healthcare needs.
Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?
A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education.
We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their “cavities fixed” but rather to prevent them. We strive to provide all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.
Our goal in this practice is to provide the best possible dental care for our patients. We want the children coming to our office to understand how to care for their teeth through proper oral hygiene and diet. Prevention is preferred to treatment of dental problems that may arise from poor hygiene or diet.
Our children’s dental services include teeth cleaning and bleaching, Endodontics (fillings and root canals), Periodontics (gum disease), In-Office Sedation Dentistry, Hospital Dentistry (for children who need extra care) and TMJ Therapy (for those with jaw pain and jaw clicking).
We also offer orthodontics, or braces, to align teeth.
The American Association for Orthodontists recommends that every child have an orthodontic evaluation by the age of 7.
Early detection and treatment gives your child the edge - a much better chance for natural and normal development. By working with the natural growth instead of against it, we can prevent problems from becoming worse, and give your child a lifetime of healthy smiles!
Studies have shown that people who have straight teeth are more likely to smile more. This leads to a greater self esteem which may lead to a more fulfilling life.
Dr. Ross and his staff are doing an excellent job on my child.
My son really enjoys coming to see him because he is funny, gentle and an all-around good guy.
Thanks to the entire office for all you do!

Dr. Ross and his staff are awesome. We travel four hours
from West Virginia to bring our children to their appointments here. We would not have it any other way.
Thank you so much for doing what you do…You have made a 6 year old boy feel so brave today. He tells me that he was not as scared this time. He also stated, “Mommy, Dr. Ross is a very professional dentist, he smiled at me and even told me I was doing a great job”. As a mom it warms my heart to know that my son feels safe and cared for…Again, Thank you!! I appreciate all you do. - Thanks!!
